<p>Diagnosed a UI state bug where a popup overlay fired a spurious mouse-exit event, desyncing the card footer from an open dropdown menu; decoupled footer state from raw hover signal to fix it. Verified across 3 cold-launch cycles with tab-switch latency logging at the maintainer&rsquo;s request before merge.</p>
